About the Role
We are on the hunt for a knowledgeable MapR/Hadoop Consultant to manage and operate the MapR flavor of the Hadoop ecosystem. You will be responsible for creating automation pipelines, deploying package upgrades, and efficiently handling use case support tickets.
Your Responsibilities Include:
- Troubleshooting OPS issues and correcting configurations.
- Ensuring successful uptime and availability of the corporate Data Lake Hadoop Service.
- Participating in an on-call rotation every three weeks.
- Smooth execution of ecosystem package upgrades and deployments.
What You Bring to the Table
- Experience: 5+ years in relevant fields with strong knowledge of Hadoop vanilla.
- Technical Skills: Proficiency with Ansible, GitHub Actions, Jenkins, Git, GitOps, and Data Management & Analytics.
- Nice to Have: Experience with Hadoop MapR, Terraform, Kubernetes, and Cloud (GCP).
- Additional Skills: Strong background in scripting, automation, observability, and DevOps tooling.
