Organizational Structure and Operations:

Our project teams consist of 5-7 members, each with distinct responsibilities. Junior team members receive mentorship and guidance from senior technicians to facilitate professional development and problem-solving. While we maintain offices in Košice, Slovakia, and Brno, Czech Republic, current operations are remote. Our workforce is presently distributed across both countries.

Current Hiring Need:

We are currently seeking a Python Developer for a Software Engineer position to contribute to our ongoing project, slinkydata.com, and support our continued growth.

Project Overview:

Slinky (slinkydata.com) is a lead and data management platform, designed and developed by Severin Simko IT Services since 2020. The platform is engineered to handle high-volume data processing, encompassing ingestion, parsing, and normalization. Slinky incorporates internal and external validation tools, empowering users to manage data utilization effectively. API integrations with various systems and solutions optimize data utilization and provide tracking and monitoring functionalities.

Role Responsibilities:

• Develop Python-based applications for the Slinky data management platform (slinkydata.com).
• Conduct testing of features developed by other team members.
• Ensure high performance and scalability by contributing to MySQL database management, including query optimization and scripting.
• Utilize and work with open-source technologies regularly.
• Write clean, maintainable code and follow best practices in software development.
• Maintain clear documentation of technical processes and application functionalities.
• Communicate directly with clients.

Required Qualifications:

• Proficiency in Python development (minimum 2+ years in production), with hands-on experience in relevant frameworks like Flask, Django, and FastAPI.
• Experience with Git for version control and collaborative development.
• Solid knowledge of databases, including MySQL or similar SQL, with experience in query optimization.
• AWS experience, including working with pipelines, batch jobs, and cloud-based deployment.
• Understanding of RESTful API development and microservices architecture.
• Problem-solving mindset with the ability to work independently and troubleshoot effectively.
• CI/CD pipeline experience
• Effective time management, interpersonal, and communication skills.
• A willingness to learn new skills and technologies.
• English language proficiency at the Upper-Intermediate (B2) level.
