Who we are (ProXIV)

We are a small company established in 2003. We develop software for manufacturing companies, mainly in the cable industry, and our goal is to deliver a professional, quality, and user-friendly product that customers truly use and appreciate.

We have been helping manufacturing companies manage their processes smartly and simply (planning, production, materials, warehouses) for a long time. We understand what customers really need and develop our product accordingly.

What you will do

  • Consultation and optimization of manufacturing processes
  • You will look at how the company operates (materials, warehouse, production planning, dispatch…) and help them set up or improve these processes.
  • Finding and proposing solutions, their implementation
  • The customer has a need/problem → you will understand it, analyze it, and propose a specific solution in our system. You will help put it into practice.
  • Communication with clients, training, and user support
  • You will explain to people how the new feature works, how to use it, and why it saves them time. You will be a partner for them, not a “call center”.
  • Testing processes and application quality control
  • You will verify that the newly delivered or modified solution works as it should – not only technically but mainly process-wise.
  • Collaboration with development
  • You will convey clear requirements to the team: what the customer needs and why. You help make sense of what needs to be developed.

💡 Important: This position has a clear growth path. You can start as a process and user consultant and gradually move more towards the technical side:

  • working with data in MS SQL Server (data control, query reading, basic T-SQL),
  • creating and modifying reports/outputs,
  • understanding our product “from the inside”,
  • gradually getting involved in defining modifications for development, possibly even minor technical adjustments.

If you are interested in more technical aspects over time (data analysis, working with SQL, basic programming), you have that opportunity with us.

What a typical day looks like

  • We operate on-site in the office in Kladno, usually around 8–16.
  • In the morning, we go over what needs to be addressed in the team, if there is anything urgent with the customer, and who needs what.
  • Part of the day, you communicate with the customer (clarifying requirements, training, explaining features, preparing deployment).
  • Part of the day, you deal with process logic: how it should all work to really help people in operation.
  • If an application adjustment is needed, you sit directly with the developers next to you (no three floors of approvals).
  • Before handing over the new solution to the customer, you verify that “it makes sense even in a real scenario”.
  • Lunch often together (voluntarily).
  • Once a week, we do a larger project overview: what is being deployed, what is being prepared, where the priorities are.

We consider home office more as an exception because this work is a lot about team collaboration and quick communication.

Who we are looking for

This position is great for someone who:

  • understands that the reality of production/warehouse/planning is not a PowerPoint table, but a living chaos,
  • enjoys untangling and simplifying problems,
  • wants to be in contact with people and at the same time deal with functional processes.

You fit in with us if:

  • you can talk to people normally (calmly, understandably, not condescendingly),
  • you can ask questions until you understand the real problem,
  • you think in context (“if we change A, it will affect B and C”),
  • you have a responsible approach to work (what I deliver, I stand by),
  • you don't just want to sit for eight hours, but want to see results.

Plus variant B (also great):

You have experience in production/logistics/purchasing/quality and say “IT and systems interest me more than the actual operation”. This is exactly the profile that often fits in perfectly.

Requirements (must-have)

  • Czech at native speaker level (C2).
  • You will talk to customers, train users, explain procedures.
  • English min. B1.
  • You need to understand documentation, communicate simply, write a problem description.
  • Very good computer skills in Windows environment and Office tools (especially Excel – filtering, searching, working with data).
  • Willingness to learn new things (production processes, our product, working with data, MS SQL, basic technical terms).
  • Willingness to work every working day in the office in Kladno full-time.
  • This is not an isolated “remote” role – we solve things together on-site.
  • Ability to deal with people professionally, calmly, and fairly.

Advantages (not a requirement)

  • German/Polish (most clients are outside the Czech Republic).
  • Experience from a manufacturing company (production planning, material purchasing, warehouse management, dispatch, quality…). Cable industry is an extra plus.
  • Basic data work:
  • Microsoft SQL Server
  • T-SQL
  • reporting tools
  • You don't have to know this at the start, but if you've ever looked into a database or extracted data, it's a big advantage.
  • Experience with communication with customers or internal users (training, coordination, system implementation in operation).
