We are leaders in the market for the development of hotel systems and applications. We connect Booking.com, Airbnb, Hotel.cz, Spa.cz and other major players in the market with hotels and accommodation facilities. We develop the most used hotel system in the Czech Republic and operate in Hungary, Poland, Romania, and Slovakia. Every month we process half a million reservations in 4,500 hotels. Our goal is to maximize the automation of hotel operations so that guests can enjoy deserved comfort and enjoy their stay without unnecessary worries.

What can you help us with? 

We have been developing our hotel system for 15 years, and despite our efforts to continuously innovate our technologies, we reached a point where our current development style and application structure (especially on the backend) were unsustainable. Therefore, we decided to make a change and rewrite the entire backend from Zend 1 to Symfony 6. We spent a long time fine-tuning how the new application structure should look and ended up using DDD methodology in conjunction with some design patterns like SOLID or CQRS. We also want to focus much more on code quality and testing at all levels - unit tests, integration tests, cypress tests, code analysis, etc. We now have the first module written in Symfony 6 and are looking for talented colleagues to help us kick-start the rewrite and refine the backend and entire development process to perfection :) 

What technologies will you use?

• We write the backend in PHP8.1 (Zend 1 / Symfony 6) - if you don’t know them, that’s fine, what’s important is a good knowledge of OOP and correct code structure.
• We store data in MySQL (MariaDB), ElasticSearch, or Redis.
• If you know JS, you can help us with development in Vue.js, TypeScript, or ExtJS, but it’s not required, we’re also looking for pure backend developers.
• We use RabbitMQ for messaging, version in GIT, run tests (Codeception), and perform static code analysis in GitLab.
• For connecting partners, we operate APIs of all kinds (REST, XML, SOAP), which we document in Postman.
• We track tasks in Redmine, perform code review and merge requests in GitLab.
• Docker for local development - in the future also for production.
