Head of SW Development

The role of a Head of IT Analysis, Architecture, Testing and Front-end Development is a crucial position within an organization, reporting to the Head of IT (executive role). This role involves overseeing and managing all aspects of the IT analysis, IT Architecture, FE development and testing functions to ensure the quality, reliability, and security of the organization’s IT systems and applications.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Strategic Leadership:

• Provide strategic leadership for the analysis, IT Architecture, frontend development, and testing teams.

2. Team Management:

• Foster a collaborative and innovative work environment across all the team and develop and maintain relationship with customer.
• Oversee the analysis processes, ensuring comprehensive understanding of project requirements and effective communication with development and testing teams.
• Provide technical oversight for frontend development, guiding architecture, design, and technology selection.
• Ensure comprehensive testing plans are developed and executed, incorporating both manual and automated testing methodologies to define and enforce quality standards for software development projects.

3. Project Planning and Execution:

• Collaborate with project managers to plan and execute projects, ensuring effective coordination between analysis, frontend development, and testing phases. 

4. Customer satisfaction:

• This role is being considered as customer facing role.
• Successful candidate is able to develop and maintain close relationship with customer, build trust and deliver the best in class solutions. 

5. Collaboration and Communication:

• Collaborate with other IT leaders, project managers, vendors and business stakeholders to ensure seamless integration of processes and clear communication.

6. Planning:

• Is responsible for planning and budgeting. 

REQUIREMENTS:

• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
• Proven leadership experience in analysis and SW development or testing roles.
• Expertise in frontend technologies (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, frameworks), analysis processes, and software testing methodologies.
• Strong project management skills and experience with agile methodologies.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Ability to think strategically and make data-driven decisions.
• Solid understanding of Financial processes, Vendor management and Procurement processes.
• Experience in Insurance business is a plus
• Language: Czech or Slovak (fluent), English (B2)
