Java SW Developer

For the expanding Prague office of an international SW Development firm providing innovative technical solutions requires an experienced Java Developers to work on a new project that is cloud-native, API-first, and stream processing enabled. The team with be in close cooperation with analysts and architects in Prague and the US.

Responsibilities:

You will be responsible for all phases of the SW development lifecycle including:

- Design, development, implementation and documentation of applications

- Provide estimates of work based on analysis, knowledge and experience with requirements

- Participate in code reviews, design discussions, and test planning

- Act as technical lead and mentor with junior developer

Requirements:

- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science preferred but candidates with a technical education and proven work experience also considered

- Experience as technical development leader designing and implementing both green field projects as well as migration of legacy solutions to modern technology stacks

- Strong analytic and design skills

- 3+ years Java SW development experience

- Experience with building native solutions in GCP, AWS or Azure and associated deep understanding of failover, high-availability, and high scalability

- Strong understanding and experience distributed systems and serverless architectures

- Good communication skills and active English language skills

- You musthave EU or permanent residency to be considered, Czech not a requirement
